At Cannon Federal Credit Union, we recognize that our relationships with our members are based on trust. As a member, you trust us with your financial and other personal information, and we are committed to respecting your privacy and safeguarding that information. We pledge to protect your information by adhering to the privacy practices described on this page.

Types of Information We Collect

• Information received from members and potential members on applications or other forms.
• Information from transactions involving your account sor services with us.
• Information received from consumer reporting agencies.
• Information obtained when verifying information provided by members or potential members on applications or other forms, such as from current or past employers, other financial institutions where members conduct financial transactions, and other sources listed on applications or forms.

Employee Access to Information

The only CFCU employees who have access to nonpublic personal information are those employees who need that information in order to administer member accounts and transactions. CFCU maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with Federal regulations to guard nonpublic personal information.

Types of Information We Disclose

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our members or former members except as permitted by applicable law. To benefit our members, we share the information we collect within the credit union, and with certain trusted third parties described in this paragraph, who are obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of this information. We use the services of various third parties to assist us in offering financial services to our members. For example, we use the services of third parties for processing transactions using credit cards, checks, debit and ATM cards, and other access devices.

These affiliates and companies that assist CFCU in providing services to members will be given only the information they need in order to provide the service, and must agree to protect confidential member information.

CFCU will never sell its member list or nonpublic personal information to any third party. If membership is terminated, CFCU will not share former member information, except as permitted or required by law.

Mobile App Permissions

In order to make full use of our mobile app's functionality, you may be asked to provide additional permissions on your device. These permissions are optional, and may be revoked at any time in your device's settings.

Camera and Images

• We ask your permission to access your device's camera and images in order to deposit checks into your account via Remote Deposit Capture (also known as Mobile Deposit). These images will be collected and retained as required or permitted by applicable law, taking into account applicable statutes of limitation and our records retention requirements and policies.
• We ask your permission to access your device's camera in order to enable biometric logins.

Biometrics

• We ask your permission to access your device's camera and other biometric information, such as fingerprint, in order to enable biometric logins.

Storage

• We ask your permission to access your device's storage in order for you to attach files to secure messages that you may send to us, and to receive files attached to secure messages that we may send to you.

Location

• We ask your permission to access your device's geolocation in order to use our Shared Branch and ATM Locator.

The Cannon FCU Mobile Banking App and the Cannon Federal Credit Union website may contain links to third-party websites. When you click on a link to any other website or location, you will leave the App/website and go to another site, and another entity may collect personal and/or anonymous information from you.
