Membership

To open an account with CFCU, you must qualify for membership.  CFCU provides membership to those who share the following common bonds:

  • Members of the US Armed Forces, active or retired, and their dependents or dependent survivors, who are eligible by law or regulation to receive, and are receiving, benefits or services from Cannon Air Force Base
  • Civilian personnel who work at or are assigned to Cannon Air Force Base, or those who have retired from Cannon Air Force Base
  • Regular full-time or part-time employees of the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) who work on Cannon Air Force Base
  • Non-appropriated funds (NAF) employees whose duty post is Cannon Air Force Base
  • Employees of the City of Clovis, New Mexico
  • Employees of Curry County, New Mexico
  • Employees of the US Government who work in Curry County, New Mexico
  • Members of the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce
  • Employees of Clovis Community College
  • Members and employees of the Sacred Heart Catholic Community Parish in Clovis, New Mexico
  • Active members of the following associations in Clovis, New Mexico or Portales, New Mexico, who qualify for membership with the association in accordance with their respective constitutions and bylaws in effect on October 19, 1994:
    • American Legion, Post 25
    • American Legion, Post 117
    • American Veterans of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam (AMVETS)
    • Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 6
    • Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3015
    • Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3280
    • Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9515
  • Individuals who live, work, attend school, or worship, and businesses or other legal entities located in Roosevelt County, New Mexico
  • Individuals who live, work, attend school, or worship, and businesses or other legal entities located south of 21st Street in Clovis, New Mexico
  • Employees of Cannon Federal Credit Union
  • Those in the immediate families of current Cannon Federal Credit Union members

A $10 share deposit is required and represents your share in CFCU. This share entitles you to take advantage of the many financial services CFCU offers and vote in our general membership meetings.

 

Once a Member, Always a Member

Once a person joins CFCU, he/she may remain a member for life, even if the relationship to qualify changes, as long as the account remains open.
