About Us
Originally chartered as Cannon AFB Federal Credit Union located in an old barracks building on Cannon AFB, CFCU has flourished, moving and expanding into two convenient locations today. CFCU provides financial services to thousands of members in and around Clovis, New Mexico – including civilian and military personnel assigned to Cannon AFB, NAF employees, AAFES employees, residents of Roosevelt County, and many more.
CFCU is governed by a Board of Directors that establishes and reviews policy. The Directors are Credit Union members who are elected by the Membership and serve without compensation. Every member has a vote, regardless of how much he or she has on deposit. At CFCU, there is no select group of shareholders that profits more than another. All members profit individually and collectively.
The mission of CFCU, a member-owned co-operative, is to provide you and your family with quality, affordable, worldwide financial services through a personalized, technologically-enhanced environment and a unified team of caring professionals dedicated to your financial goals.
CFCU is a federally chartered credit union, organized under strict regulatory laws that are monitored and enforced by the National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the US Government. The NCUA insures each member account for $250,000.
Once a Member, Always a Member
Once a person joins CFCU, he/she remains a Member for life, even if the relationship to qualify changes, as long as the account remains open.

Membership
To join CFCU you must qualify for membership. CFCU provides membership to the following:
- Members of the US Armed Forces, active or retired, and their dependents or dependent survivors, who are eligible by law or regulation to receive, and are receiving, benefits or services from Cannon Air Force Base
- Civilian and military personnel who work at or assigned to Cannon Air Force Base
- Regular full-time or part-time employees of The Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) who work on Cannon Air Force Base
- Non-appropriated funds (NAF) employees whose duty post is Cannon Air Force Base
- Employees of the City of Clovis, New Mexico
- Employees of Curry County, New Mexico
- Employees of the US Government who work in Curry County, New Mexico
- Members of the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce
- Employees of Clovis Community College
- Members and employees of the Sacred Heart Catholic Community Parish in Clovis, New Mexico
- Active members of the following associations in Clovis, New Mexico or Portales, New Mexico, who qualify for membership with the association in accordance with their respective constitutions and bylaws in effect on October 19, 1994:
- American Legion, Post 25
- American Legion, Post 117
- American Veterans of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam (AMVETS)
- Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 6
- Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3015
- Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3280
- Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9515
- Individuals who live, work, attend school, or worship, and businesses or other legal entities located in Roosevelt County, New Mexico
- Individuals who live, work, attend school, or worship, and businesses or other legal entities located south of 21st Street in Clovis, New Mexico
- Employees of Cannon Federal Credit Union
- Those in the immediate families of current Cannon Federal Credit Union members
A $10 share deposit is required and represents your share in CFCU. This share entitles you to take advantage of the many financial services CFCU offers and vote in our general membership meetings.
